Strategic Location
Hoa Lac High-Tech Park – A Strategic Location in Western Hanoi
Situated along the western development axis of the capital, Hoa Lac High-Tech Park offers excellent connectivity to central Hanoi, the regional transport network, and an ecosystem dedicated to research, training, and high-tech manufacturing.
A Gateway for Technology and Innovation in the West
Hoa Lac High-Tech Park is located in the western part of Hanoi, along the Thang Long Boulevard axis, approximately 30 km from the city center. This location facilitates the integration of research, training, high-tech production, and service provision with the capital’s political and economic hub.
According to the Hanoi Capital Master Plan for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision toward 2050, the western region is designated as a key development area, centered around science, technology, education, and innovation. Furthermore, Hoa Lac falls within the sphere of influence of the West Lake – Ba Vi development axis, as well as the economic corridors and ring-road system of the Capital Region.
This strategic position enables Hoa Lac High-Tech Park to strengthen its linkages with industrial zones, logistics hubs, and manufacturing regions across Hanoi, Hoa Binh, and other provinces and cities in Northern Vietnam.
Transport Infrastructure Undergoing Progressive Development
Thang Long Boulevard currently serves as the primary transport artery connecting Hoa Lac High-Tech Park to central Hanoi. From Hoa Lac, vehicles have access to National Highway 21, the Hoa Lac – Hoa Binh Expressway, and a network of ring roads, providing connectivity to various localities within the Capital Region. Several strategic transport infrastructure projects are currently underway or planned for investment, including:
Urban Railway Line 5 (Van Cao – Ngoc Khanh – Lang – Hoa Lac);
The Ho Tay – Ba Vi axis and the connecting route to the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park;
The expansion of National Highway 21 and the completion of the regional transport network;
Routes connecting to Ring Road 4 and the inter-regional transport system.
Construction of Urban Railway Line 5 began in December 2025. Spanning approximately 39.58 km, the line will feature 20 stations and two depots—one in Son Dong and another in Hoa Lac. The project is scheduled for implementation through 2030, gradually establishing a high-capacity public transport corridor between the center of Hanoi and the Hoa Lac area.
Expanding Public Transport Connectivity
As of March 2026, the bus network serving the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park has been further strengthened. Two electric bus routes, E06TC and E07TC, now provide direct connections between Hoa Lac and the Giap Bat Bus Station as well as the Long Bien area. Additionally, existing bus routes have undergone route adjustments and increased service frequency.
Currently, the Hoa Lac area is served by 9 bus routes, with frequencies typically ranging from 10 to 30 minutes per trip, supporting the travel needs of experts, workers, pupils, and students.
With its strategic location and an increasingly comprehensive connectivity system, the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park provides a favorable foundation for investment, research, training, and technology-based production projects. The Management Board is committed to supporting investors by providing information and assistance throughout the research, preparation, and implementation phases of their projects.
